Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities reported they were contacted by a man who discovered a vehicle in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then discovered many other marked vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials say preliminary tests indicate the substance was likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to unravel the mystery" and have asked to the public for information.

An important representative stated the attack made him stunned and required to be resolved quickly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, referring to the death of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
